Impact
At Arken Strategies, impact is defined by outcomes that strengthen organizations and shape systems. We design and execute government and policy strategies that elevate regional voices, deepen influence, and deliver measurable results.
Our work positions partners to lead during moments of change, helping organizations prepare for state transitions, build internal policy frameworks, and align federal and state agendas around shared priorities. From amplifying rural voices in California’s economic future to launching first-of-its-kind workforce pathways, we build innovative solutions that strengthen local leadership, close skills gaps, and position our partners as trusted voices in statewide policy.

$12+ Million Garnered for Clients
In communities across California, Arken facilitates inclusive engagement processes that ensure those most affected by policy and investment decisions help shape them. Through focused workshops, interviews, and regional convenings, we capture lived experience and translate it into actionable strategies that advance equity, sustainability, and opportunity.
Our engagement work grounds technical data in community insight connecting state goals with on-the-ground priorities and translating lessons from proven High Road partnerships into scalable local models. From elevating under-resourced neighborhoods in San Diego County to informing statewide workforce and housing strategies, our approach turns authentic input into durable systems change.

F3 AgTEC Workforce Initiative
Arken led the F3 AgTEC Workforce initiative, surveying 12,000 farmworkers to design California’s first competency-based education (CBE) curriculum for agriculture. This effort culminated in the Ag Systems Certificate, a 12-unit, industry-aligned program now offered at six community colleges, with plans to expand statewide. As part of the broader F3 (Farms Food Future) Initiative, AgTEC equips workers with skills and technologies to drive economic growth and ag innovation across the Central Valley.

Regional Affordable Housing Tours
In partnership with the League of California Community Foundations and the Business, Consumer Services and Housing Agency, Arken Strategies leads statewide housing tours connecting state leadership with local communities. Since 2024, Secretary Tomiquia Moss and her team have visited foundations across Placer, Tahoe-Truckee, Stanislaus, the Central Valley, and the Inland Empire to see regional housing initiatives firsthand. The tours have established a new rhythm of collaboration, building trust between state and local partners, elevating community foundations as essential conveners, and shaping actionable, scalable strategies to address California’s housing challenges.

California Jobs First - Playbook
Arken led the development of the California Jobs First Playbook, aligning regional economic strategies with California’s broader economic goals outlined in the State Economic Blueprint. Developed with thousands of community members across California and tied to a cohesive statewide vision, the Playbook helps regions identify collaboration opportunities, attract outside investors, and assist potential funders in identifying opportunities to back regional projects.
